Bram
Levinson
Co-Manager & Yoga Teacher
Bram has been an enthusiastic yogi since 1999, and after a massive
life/career change in 2008, began his Ashtanga Yoga Teacher Training
with Darby, Shankara & Joanne. With additional training from Luna
Yoga's Jennifer Maagendans, Bram incorporated all his experience on
and off the mat into his yoga classes which offer insight into alignment,
breath awareness, and the ability to use laughter to get through the
more challenging postures and sequences. He is an alumni ambassador
for the Lululemon
Ste Catherine St location, and has co-led retreats in Canada &
Mexico, and led his own in Santorini, Greece. Adding to his yoga classes
and retreats, he started his Mentorship
Program in November 2011. Bram is forever grateful to the Darbys,
Jennifer Maagendans, and Joan Ruvinsky who initially offered illumination
on his yogic path. His website can be found at www.bramlevinsonyoga.com,
and his insights and obervations can be followed on his blog connect

Frances
Vicente
Yoga teacher
Frances has a background in dance and competitive Sport Aerobics (a
sport which combines aerobic dance moves with gymnastic elements)
- she discovered her passion for yoga in 2006 when she began working
at Lululemon Athletica. To her, dance is very much an outward expression,
whereas yoga offers an opportunity for self-reflection. Frances recently
completed her yoga teacher training and draws from her experiences
in all areas of her life to bring creativity, compassion and laughter
to her classes. She is thrilled to be a new part of the Centre Luna
yoga family! Frances is a certified Jivamukti teacher.
Dawn
Mauricio
Yoga Teacher
Practicing Yoga since 2000 and having completed a first Meditation
retreat on a Thai monastery in 2006, Dawn decided to give up her short-lived
Marketing career to become a Yoga teacher. Teaching full-time since,
Dawn's style has evolved into a playful and dynamic approach that
draws from her experiences in Kripalu and Ashtanga Yoga, as well as
Mindfulness Meditation.
Meanwhile, Dawn has sat regular silent Meditation retreats and completed
numerous Yoga workshops with exceptional teachers from both Canada
and the U.S. She has also fervently pursued raising awareness about
global issues. Dawn organizes yearly Yoga Malas, or fundraisers, in
which close to twenty thousand dollars has been raised for organizations
such as Greenpeace, Équiterre, Amnesty International and Le
Garde Manger Pour Tous.
Dawn
Bailey
Yoga Teacher
Dawn took her first yoga class at the age of fifteen in a summer music
program. She continued to study yoga in the hopes of improving her
singing performance by finding a deeper connection to her body and
breath. When she moved from Edmonton to Toronto in 2005, she discovered
Jivamukti Yoga and the practice quickly transformed from a physical
practice into an entire way of life. In 2008 she completed the Jivamukti
Yoga Teacher Training with Sharon Gannon and David Life, and since
that time has been teaching public and private classes regularly,
as well as continuing to deepen her own yoga practice and to explore
the connections between yoga and the voice. Dawn is an encouraging
and patient teacher and her classes are infused with music and inspiration.
She is eternally grateful to all of her dear teachers who have passed
on these precious teachings so perfectly to her, and she teaches with
the goal of transmitting these sacred teachings to others as joyfully
as they have been given to her.
Tara
Lazanis
Yoga Teacher
Tara took her first yoga class in high school, but it wasn’t
until after university while living in Hong Kong that yoga became
her life’s inspiration and mission. Tara completed her first
formal teaching training in Ashtanga in 2009 studying with the Darby
family, and draws on the lessons and wisdom from all of her teachers
to inspire her classes. She also has a background in Thai yoga massage
and is equally as passionate about crafting and making jewelry as
she is about yoga. Tara is currently finishing training in restorative
yoga, and plans on completing a further training focusing on yoga
for round bodies later this year as she believes that health, happiness
and yoga comes in all shapes and sizes. She has been a part of the
Luna family since 2007 as a receptionist and is proud to be teaching
at such an incredible studio.
